COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY: MEDICAL CENTER - CUMC

Located in Washington Heights on 168th and Broadway, Columbia’s Medical Center is comprised of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, School of Nursing, College of Dental Medicine, and the Mailman School of Public Health. Accommodating both the medical school and a hospital, it was the first academic medical center at the time it was built in the 1920s. It now shares space with Columbia-affiliated New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the hospital where Malcolm X was declared dead.
